Josh's path into building started with a single property. In 2007, he bought his first home in Greater Victoria — a revenue property — and the following year completed his first renovation: adding a suite. That project was the first time he saw, up close, how much value good renovation work could create.

Some years later, he took that same property further, completing a full duplex conversion, alongside a separate renovation project. The next decade was spent building that skill project by project, watching where value came from and how the right changes could transform a property. In 2017, that experience became a licence: he earned his HPO builder's certification and began taking on full custom home construction.

Since then, the work has grown to include custom home building, lifts, heritage renovations, multi-family construction, and full subdivisions — carried from land acquisition, through subdivision and design, into finished homes on the market. Two projects stand out. An architect-designed waterfront home, built as the architect's own retirement property, remains the build he's most proud of. On the renovation side, a heritage home transformation — taking a run-down property and bringing it back with all its original character intact, paired with a fully modern interior — captures exactly the kind of work he set out to do.

Josh has called Greater Victoria home since the late 1990s. These days, it's home to his wife, two daughters, and a growing list of finished projects across the region.
